"Great spot for takeaway coffee and/or food. I visited Clay this morning and ordered a delicious toasted sandwich and matcha latte. The service was friendly, I liked the cosiness of the Cafe and the food was fresh and tasty. Worth visiting if you're in the area."
"We are always on the hunt for specialty coffee and love anywhere that roasts their own beans. We were given a tip to head here by our friends at the Origin Corner. Redbrick opened up four coffee stores selling specialty coffee. We visited Clay Coffee, on David Street in Turner, Canberra, ACT. It is located at the bottom of an apartment complex, with ample parking outside and plenty of place to sit outdoors (or a few benches inside). The coffee shop sells coffee roasted in their own roastery in Fyshwick, making for unique flavours and a quality cup of coffee. This place is perfect for the coffee enthusiast amongst us. We love the uniqueness of this venue, where you can actually select your preferred blend before they make your coffee. Whether you prefer classic, sweet, rich or complex, speak to the baristas and they’ll help you decide. The Multi coffee option for your milk based includes the following; Malt and caramel, coffee and chocolate, candy berries. You can also buy yourself some beans to go, an environmentally friendly keep cup or other coffee merchandise whilst you are there."
"We love the coffee shop. We live near by it’s our closest option, and I have heard others say it’s expensive and they didn’t like it. We love it. The staff are friendly and always chat to my three year old. Coffee is lovely and food too. You have to go early to get the best of the food as they sell out. But it’s a lovely shop. It’s a small shop you can’t expect it to offer the same in the way of a larger one, but what they offer is good quality coffee and food , and a great atmosphere."
"Clay is hands down one of my favorite spots in Canberra. The atmosphere is always so warm and welcoming, it strikes that perfect balance between cozy and vibrant. What really sets Clay Cafe apart, though, is the staff. Every single person I've met there has been incredibly friendly, genuine, and down to earth. You don’t just feel like another customer! They actually take the time to chat, remember your order, and make you feel at home. It’s rare to find that kind of service these days, and it’s a big part of why I keep coming back. And the coffee? Absolutely top-notch. Smooth, rich, and consistently well-made. Whether you're grabbing a quick takeaway or lingering over a cup with friends, it never disappoints. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Clay Cafe is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel like part of the community."
"Lovely cosy spot. Sat inside in the sun. Had the rogue FW. Bright. I reckon better as a LB. The staff really take pride in their work, overheard them pouring the latte art a few times. Hung on to my lost property too"
"Great for a take away coffee. Not a lot of seating, but the drinks were great. The chai latte was delicious, and the three cheese toasties were very filling."
"I like the coffee, my usual is flat white large :) and I can’t complain the staff is quick they smile each time at me :) this is the only place close to my house so sometimes it’s becoming like a routine but I still enjoy it :) sometimes I sad they do not have more options for food/ pastries but it’s my preference :)"
"Love this small coffee shop. We stayed at the apartment nearby and decided to try a local coffee shop for breakfast. We decided to give it a try and it ended up this coffee shop is great. The food was good with a chill and relax vibe. There’s not too much space and the tables are really tiny, it’s hard to fit 2 dishes and 2 coffees on one table so you have to be very careful not to let the dish or cup fall down."
